A2HELP LLC was started in 2001 as a "handyman business". Soon after that our business grew and required us to get a builders license and more comprehensive insurance so we started a new company called ArborServe LLC. We kept A2HELP LLC as a secondary business to assist Ann Arbor homeowners that just needed a little help, certain skills, and the tools required to complete a project from the start to the finish.

As the economic climate changed for the worse in South Eastern Michigan, we decided to expand A2HELP to offer more tools and training to homeowners in the Ann Arbor area. We acquire tools from contractors going out of business, find deals when stores are changing their inventory, and through donations from people that do not use something anymore or just does not work. We have the skills and resources to repair and service implements to make sure they are dependable and safe.

We are starting a membership based tool cooperative in Ann Arbor. This will enable homeowners to borrow items they only need once or a few times a year. All of the dues go into tool acquisition, repair, and maintenance keeping us busy in slower times. Having a "tool cooperative" helps reduce the costs associated with normal wear and tear enabling us to loan items at no additional cost. We also will offer neighborhood cooperative so people can share items they occasionally use.
